LITTLE BLACK TEE INITIATIVE
The Little Black Tee Initiative is a high-impact, week-long social media campaign and fundraiser designed to bring poverty awareness to the forefront of our community.

How It Works
To symbolize the limitations faced by those living in poverty, participants wear one single black t-shirt for five consecutive days. This visual statement serves as a catalyst for conversation, raising consciousness about the prevalence and challenges of poverty right here in Angelina County.
Our Purpose
The initiative is more than just a dress code; it is a call to action. By sharing their journey on social media, our members and community partners shine a light on the daily struggles of the economically disadvantaged, humanizing the statistics and advocating for change.

Community Impact
The funds raised through this campaign are stay local. 100% of the proceeds support the Junior League of Lufkin’s dedicated efforts to provide resources, leadership, and direct aid to the economically disadvantaged populations of Angelina County.
