
BECOME A MEMBER
The Junior League of Lufkin is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through effective action and leadership. We welcome all women who share an interest in service and a desire to grow as civic leaders to join our mission.
The Provisional Year
New members begin their journey as Provisional Candidates. This introductory year is designed to provide you with the training, community knowledge, and leadership skills necessary to become an effective advocate for Angelina County.

Timeline: The Provisional year runs from September through August.

Training: Candidates participate in a comprehensive Provisional Course to learn the inner workings of the League.

Engagement: Requirements include attending general meetings, completing a group provisional project, and fulfilling several community and fundraiser shifts.

Contribution: Members are required to make a financial contribution to support the League’s charitable missions.
Membership Requirements
To be eligible for the Provisional class, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Age: Must be at least 21 years of age.

Residency: It is highly recommended that candidates live or work within Angelina County.

Commitment: Candidates must be able to attend all required meetings and fulfill placement obligations, including group sessions and service shifts.
How to Apply
The journey to membership begins in the Spring!

Attend an Informational Session: Prospective candidates are encouraged to attend an info session in the Spring to learn more about our impact and the specific requirements of membership.

Submit Your Application: All applications must be finalized and submitted by the end of May to be considered for the upcoming September class.
