The Back to School Bonanza is a cornerstone community event hosted annually by the Junior League of Lufkin in partnership with local churches, businesses, and service organizations. Guided by the motto, “Together, we will make a difference in the lives of the children in Angelina County,” this massive endeavor ensures local students are equipped and empowered for the upcoming school year.
Supporting Our Students
Each year, the Bonanza provides over 2,400 free backpacks filled with essential school supplies to children in grades Pre-K through 12. Depending on availability, students may also receive:

Items are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. To ensure your family is served efficiently, pre-registration is highly recommended.
