Scholarship Information

The Junior League of Lufkin is proud to award five $2000 scholarships to outstanding high school graduates throughout Angelina County. The scholarships are presented at our May meeting.

The form to apply for a JLL scholarship is available at all Angelina County high schools from the school counselors. It is called the Angelina County Scholarship Application.

When choosing scholarship recipients, the members of JLL’s Advisory Committee use the following criteria: twenty percent is based on class rank, twenty percent is based on SAT/ACT scores, twenty percent is based on financial need, and the remaining forty percent is based on community service and leadership. Two references, an activities/resume list and an essay are also to be included with your application.
