Sprint into Spring 5K Run and 1 Mile Kids Fun Run

This is going to be a spectacular event! The fun run will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Crown Colony Country Club. The 1 Mile Kids Run will start promptly at 8:00 a.m. and the 5K race will start at 8:30 a.m. Children ages 5 – 12 years of age will be able to register for the kids run. Ages for the 5K race range in age from 10 years to 80 plus! If you are not a runner, do not fear! We welcome walkers! This will be a “chiped-time” event. For those of you who are unfamiliar with that term it means that we are using a timing device attached to your running bid number that will clock the exact time it takes you to run the 3.1 miles or 1 mile race. Awards will be presented to the first male and first female to cross the finish line for the 5K and 1 Mile race. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age division.

There will be two aid stations for the 5K race and one aid station for the 1 mile kid run. Registration for the 5K race is $25.00 per participant through March 23rd. Registration for the 1 Mile Kids Run is $20.00 per participant. If you register the morning of the event, the cost will increase to $25.00 for the 1 mile run and $30.00 for the 5K run.
